Who were the Seri Melenggang?
The Seri Melenggang Research Group is dedicated to reconstructing the historical memory of this influential lineage. Research Principles
01. Evidence First
02. Oral Traditions
03. Independent Sources
We prioritize documented sources over assumptions. Every claim is traceable to its archival origin.
Oral histories are preserved as living archives, acknowledging their role in shaping collective memory.
We cross-reference colonial records, Jawi manuscripts, and local histories to verify historical claims.

05. Title Succession
06. Public Access
We distinguish between genealogy, hereditary titles, and political office to reconstruct authority networks.
Our research is accessible to future generations, ensuring the preservation of Negeri Sembilan's heritage.
Contradictory evidence is documented transparently to maintain intellectual honesty and scholarly integrity.
